Dear Parents,

Thinking about sending your child off to college someday can be exciting, overwhelming and everything in between. There is much to consider, and even more to do. But although this can be a stressful time with lots of decisions to make along the way, Collegiate Blueprint understands the journey from the perspective of the parent, the student and the colleges, and this insight can be can be well worth the investment in our resources.

With 60% of college students taking five years or more to graduate and nearly 30% of them transferring after freshman year, making smart choices and finding “right fit” schools at the beginning saves more than just time and money; it can be integral to both initial and longer term success at college.

You may be surprised to learn that the National Center for College and University Admissions (NRCCUA) recently released an independent survey showing that 26% of high achieving seniors used an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) in their college search and application process*. With a limited client base, Collegiate Blueprint takes the time to know your student well, and one of our big goals is to insure that the colleges do too.

So where do we start? Please check out our The Plans page for details.

In the end, the high school experience and the college search, application and selection process should be a journey of self-discovery for your child. That self-discovery is not only a crucial component of college readiness, it is the foundation upon which Collegiate Blueprint can match students to colleges and universities where they can best thrive and succeed.
